In a day of modern expressions and emotional detachment there is an artist who pours every ounce of energy into his work not holding back from sensitive personal and socio-political issues. Tom Torluemke will opened his one-man show THE EXHIBITIONIST at Co-Prosperity Sphere 3219-21 South Morgan St, Chicago on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 6 – 11 p.m. The exhibit consisted of work for all senses and sensibilities. Torluemke a versatile and prolific artist treated viewers to many new mobile and sculpture works in addition to his tried and true passionate easel paintings and drawings.

Over de maker
Linda Dorman has dedicated her career to visual art and supporting artists through various projects. She received her BA in Photography from Columbia College, Chicago. During the course of her art career, she has been a photographer and photo researcher at the Field Museum in Chicago; Director of Exhibits and Artists Services at the Northern Indiana Arts Association in Munster, Indiana; Lead Curator for the Chicago in the Year 2000 documentary photography project; and Co-Owner and Gallery Director of Uncle Freddy’s Gallery in Hammond/Highland, Indiana. She is currently Studio Manager for Tom Torluemke Studio. During her 20 years of experience working with artists, she has organized and curated more than 150 exhibits.
