Murphy, a dog of wonder and imagination, tells her story with occassional input from her human. It is the story nof her long life, fifteen years,in which she grew froma pup,with all the silly puppiness one would expect, to a wise and mature dog. During the course of these years she meets the love of her life, a Boxer named Beau. She also recreates the affection she developed for her human and shares the close bond the two of them had.
