The photographs I have chosen in this book are just a few out of hundreds that I took during my summer internship at Local 100 in New York City in 2008.



Elena, Kay, Joelle, Pedro, Molly, Sam, Liam, Stephanie, Matt and I spent many hours protesting in front of CBS, sweltering in the summer heat outside of 1 Wall Street, visiting workers at the United Nations and papering Manhattan with union flyers and leaflets (among many other memorable adventures).



While it seemed like our summer was over as quickly as it began, I knew that I would never forget the lessons learned and the memories we created - and I know my fellow community organizers feel the same.



This book is dedicated to the workers, united and never defeated.
