This artist's dreamlike enigmatic paintings, feature a host of symbolic and allegorical references. Images drawn from the unconscious leading the viewer into richly-lit narratives that evoke personal stories and associations. The book includes a selection of works from over the last several years, and an insightful forward by Parsons School of Design professor Richard Waxberg. The paintings are oil on board, some of which include gold leaf.

Christine Brennan studied at the Rhode Island school of Design earning a B.F.A. in illustration. She is currently represented by galleries in Dallas, Denver, Santa Fe, and her own town of Ojai Ca. She has had numerous shows in galleries from Washington State to Vermont, and her work is included in many private and public collections.
