Over het boek
Short stories of growing up in the deep south in the 40s and 50s by sculptor John Walker. Walker's family owned a cotton warehouse, and during his childhood inevitably formed close bonds with those who worked for his family and lived on their land. Walker's possesses an uncanny ability to paint with words, and takes us on a journey of stories that end with laughter or tears, as well as a deeper understanding and appreciation of that culture and era.
