Over het boek
Rosalie Morris Johnson and her husband R. Winder Johnson were
born into upper middle-class families in Philadelphia during the mid
1800’s. They married at the height of what Mark Twain and Charles
Dudley Warner termed the Gilded Age. While life was good, it could,
nonetheless, be short. Rosalie Morris Johnson wrote the thirteen letters
presented here, between 1893 and 1903, providing a brief but telling
glimpse into the life, love and family she shared with husband.
