Too quickly they were forced to flee back into the States leaving all behind as they were caught in the middle of the Mexican Revolution. Sam and Elnora stayed in Hachita, New Mexico to build a cattle ranch and raise their 9 children. The C/ Ranch grew and remained in the family for 65 years. This is the story of their survival in the unforgiving regiona of America's southwest. Brief summaries are included of the lives their children.
