Bio -Scott Gelston Scott Gelston is a Launceston based photojournalist. Scott started his photojournalism career in 2004 after studying under Scott Cunningham at Newstead College in Northern Tasmania. He spent the early years of his career working for music industry based street-press, such as The Buzz, Thedwarf.com.au and Sauce before accepting a job with The Examiner in late 2007. His work at The Examiner has taken him to the Solomon Islands to follow the Australian Army Reserve and Bali to cover a project linking Launceston youth with an orphanage in Singaraja, Indonesia. Scott has also worked in Singapore and frequently works on Flinders Island and throughout the eastern states of Australia. His portfolio includes a diverse range of events, genres, personalities and styles of images. Scott has had two rock and roll themed photographic exhibitions, and has an extensive archive of prints available for sale.
