Over het boek
Nancy’s grandparents traveled to Egypt in 1922, on the same ship as Lord Carnarvon, soon after the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings. They documented their trip with photographs, in the form of 3.25" x 4.25" glass Magic Lantern slides. In 2006 Nancy fulfilled a dream when she visited Egypt, following in her grandparents’ footsteps, searching out locations they had photographed and documenting her own trip by posing for photos as they had done in 1922. This book is a gift for Nancy from her husband, John. It contains scans of some of her grandparents' original glass slides plus a selection of photographs from Nancy's trip to Egypt with John, some 84 years later.
