Melinda lived in at HEAL Africa, one of the most progressive front line aid groups in fragile Goma DR Congo and worked as a volunteer in southern and northern Rwanda.

The resultant book includes award winning photography and a deeply personal account of her thoughts and reactions. Working with HEAL Africa in Goma, Congo, Melinda saw what few do.
