Over het boek
First published in 1851, Moby Dick is widely regarded as one of the greatest novels in the English laguage. It is the epic story of Captain Ahab, the vengeful whalor, and his pursuit of Moby Dick, the elusive white whale who destroyed his boat and left Ahab a crippled and obsessive monomaniac.
This edition, designed by eleven students of design at the University of Michigan – Flint, returns the story to it’s original three volume form. Each student responded to the prose through typographic treatment and design. Clarity was the port of departure, content was the captain, and – ever elusive – was the quest to balance positive and negative form: the obsessive desire for white space.
Designers (Vol. 3)

section 09 / chapters 096 - 109 Samantha Thomas
section 10 / chapters 110 - 127 Jessica Fritz
