Over het boek
In the early 1970s, the Army Corps of Engineers built the Blue Marsh Dam which now provides drinking water, flood control, and recreation to its neighbors in Berks County, Pennsylvania. At the time, this was a controversial project and resulted in changes to how the Corps approached these projects. During the construction, I invaded and documented many abandoned properties. These photographs became the impetus for and were exhibited as part of the Freyberger Gallery (Penn State Berks) exhibit, "Blue Marsh: Landscape Lost" in 2013, at the time their most-attended exhibition ever. It probably still is.
