Under a grant to do a Creative Expressive Art Program at various Indian Reservations in Southern California, four plays were written. The authors were people who never wrote a story. There were 3 guidelines: have cultural flare, use two main characters in a metaphorical format and by the end of the play a piece of wisdom should be imparted. With great delight and not surprising, storytelling came alive again and the plays were performed.
