Amarante is a small beautiful city in northern Portugal. It was founded by Sao Goncalo, an hermit who lived in the 13th century. He did not want people to "live in sin" so he and a statue on his grave in the main church in Amarante is supposed to help bring lovers together...Anyhow this is a picture book from Amarante.
