Over het boek
"In 2006 the city of Moab, Utah was in the midst of a construction boom. As a photographer I am interested in the dynamic interaction of the environment and the people who use it. I don't edit out the presence of humanity with the aim of revealing a pristine (but false) image of nature. Rather I wish to present to you the viewer the juxtaposition of local landscape and the changes that people make to it. Some of the changes are permanent but many of the intermediate stages are ephemeral, here for a short time before being incorporated or transformed."
This work was first shown in July 2006. The original edition of ten 10"x10" inkjet prints was limited to one of each image. This book contains additional photographs not shown in the original exhibition.
