Over het boek
As a result from the diversity in population, Suriname has always lacked a national unity. But despite or may be because of this historical puzzle there has always been a bond between these people. They all live and work in this tropical country full of natural beauty and economical poverty.
In these portraits I have tried to show the invisible connection between the inhabitants of the Wild Coast as the Dutch called their new colony.
