When Fred loses his wife to cancer, he struggles to adapt to single living. Suffering with grief for two years, family and friends have had enough of enduring Fred’s self pity, and he is encouraged to attend the local bingo. It is here where he meets Anna, and Fred discovers life again.

Anna, like Fred, is lonely. An avid bingo player, she is flattered by Fred’s gentlemanly nature and soon feels they are more than friends. But her gangster sons disapprove and set out to destroy her happiness.

A short story based on Shakespeare’s 'Romeo and Juliet', the story of Fred and Anna is a true tragedy.
