Over het boek
We both love to look at the world around us. But most of all we share our interest in people and their behavior. That's why we chose Istanbul as the city to celebrate our birthdays in 2008. This photobook visualizes our wonderful impressions of this fascinating place.
The book starts with the most magical monument of Istanbul: The Galata Bridge, which is the connection between the Eastern continent and the West. The fact that Istanbul lies on the threshold of 2 continents gives a special atmosphere to the city which can be felt in every corner.
The rest of the book is filled with powerful portraits of people and photos of artistic architecture , bustling bazaars and mythical mosques.
The memories of this trip are so special for us because it showed crystal-clear that our friendship surpasses our daily physical distance of 2.300 kilometers. Beside that the period marks the beginning of Floris' life, Susan 's (and Richard's) son.
