Over het boek
I've been travelling to Malaysia, camera in hand, for about fifteen years now. There's a lot to love there; Malaysia is a thriving jumble of a multicultural, multilayered society with distinctly different cultural groups living side by overlapping side.
It sounds like a tourist's delight, and in many ways it is. But the tumultuous life that springs out of every corner of Malaysia exists for itself, first. And I love that. I love travelling to places that are happy to welcome me in, and allow me to observe, but have their own cultures and worlds that thrive without reference to me.
So here are some scattered observations. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I’ve enjoyed being there to make the images.
