Over het boek
Photographs were taken during a trip on National Geographic Orion, travelling nearly 3,000 miles across the South Pacific. After boarding the ship in Papeete all transfers to and from shore had to be in Zodiac rigid inflatable boats. Even Easter Island, at the end of the journey, did not have a deep water jetty. We visited inhabited and uninhabited islands and atolls, including Pitcairn, the refuge of the mutineers from the Bounty.
