Ronald Wu was born in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia, and migrated to Australia as a child. While studying Architecture at the Queensland University of Technology, he was offered a cadetship with the Queensland Department of Public Works in Brisbane. During his government career from 1987 to 2012, he was responsible for diverse projects from master plans to memorials, and engaged in his passion for architectural and landscape design illustration. He was elevated to Principal Architect and also performed the role of Acting Managing Architect on substantial occasions for the Department's in-house design consultancy. Aside from his government work, Ronald undertook private commissions for artist impressions, was recognised as a heritage illustrator and has showcased his work in several successful exhibitions. From his home studio in Brisbane, he has always enjoyed drawing and painting an extensive variety of subjects.
