In May/June of 2017, we travelled with Senior Discovery Tours on their Baltic Cruise. This trip was our fifteenth with Seniors, and we decided to explore a part of the world that we had never been to before. We had sailed on the Diamond Princess on our two previous cruises, and on this trip we would be on the Regal Princess. The description of the tour interested us. On this fascinating cruise, we would see “Scandinavia from its Viking past to modern day charm (in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland).” We would also have a chance to visit Germany and Estonia. St. Petersburg was on the itinerary, and we looked forward to our first opportunity to visit this marvellous city.
