Envisioned as a tribute to the Stonewall Rebellion that occurred in New York City in 1969, the book features portraits of 15 figures who have impacted the LGBTQ+ rights movement. The intention of this exhibit is at once celebratory and educational; serving as an acknowledgement of the pivotal events that emboldened the gay rights movement in the United States, while also highlighting other important figures who have contributed to LGBTQ+ visibility and equality before or since the events of June 1969.
