Over het boek
The World Voyage was on the MV Queen Elizabeth, the sister of the ship from ‘100 Days in the Mediterranean’. Our ship sailed a total distance of 25,000 nautical miles, reaching exotic and unfamiliar places.
Our journey took us around the Cape of Good Hope, crossing the vast Indian Ocean to Australia, and on to the Great Barrier Reef. From there we headed to the Far East, via Melanesia, before turning about and sailing for India. We crossed the Arabian sea and entered the Red Sea via the Horn of Africa, sailing the notorious Pirate Waters with Naval Warships as escort, to bring safely back to European waters, via the Suez Canal. The World Awaits. . .

Nick Wallace is a British photographer based in Switzerland whose career has taken him to more than 100 countries around the world. At age 18, he moved to Switzerland, splitting his time over the next 6 years between the mountain resort of Gstaad and London. For a change of pace, he next moved to New Zealand to hone his skills extreme sport photography in Queenstown. While there, he founded the Nick Wallace School of Photography in New Zealand and later brought the established course back to Europe. Once again wanting to expand his skill set, Nick made a drastic change of career by sailing on luxury cruise ships. While sailing around the world he offered his course to teach photography at sea. Sailing the seven seas sparked Nick’s passion for travel, so next he ventured out with only a backpack and camera. While on these trips, he documented his travels in writing and photos, creating a unique body of work that reflects his passions for travel and image making.
