Over het boek
Kali, aka the Hindu goddess of destruction, was the 'nom de guerre' adopted by a young saboteur in the Polish resistance during WWII. She had just turned twenty-one when the war began in 1939, and when it ended six years later, it became the pseudonym under which she painted for the next forty years, mostly from her home in San Francisco.
Hanna Gordialkowska Weynerowski, known to everyone as Kali, lived from 1918 to 1998.
This album samples her work from 1947 to 1986, or thereabouts.
