Furuly is the Norwegian word for pine shelter. The book, Furuly Shelter in the Pines is about the three families that lived at Furuly from 1895 - 1943. Also included is the history of the Cedar Lake Norwegian Lutheran Church (Dorris) which Ole Dahle and his pioneer parishioners planned and built. The book describes Ole Dahle’s ministry to the early lumber camps and far flung pioneer settlements as well. Memoirs of the present generation are included at the end of the book.
