Over het boek
BIG SKY Landscapes including regions of California and Nevada is a collection of over 60 paintings by Vanessa Hadady, an American painter. This revised and annotated volume features images from the BIG SKY series paintings (subdivided into Day, Gold, and Night) with additional images from the artist's River and Flora series. During 1983, sketch (plateau clouds), was executed on a remote central New Mexico state mesa and the BIG SKY series of paintings was born. The BIG SKY series is based on the phenomena of how the sky appears larger at higher altitudes. The artist paints from March through September or October and generates paintings that represent all four seasons throughout different times of the day. The majority of the works were executed on site, en plein air.
